Making pancakes have always been messy for me! So this was an amazing idea! Excuse the picture it was taken with my phone! Instead of using a legit ketchup bottle I got a set at the local store and used those. Using an actual ketchup bottle probably would of served my purpose better because it has a wide mouth so I will keep that in mind when I use out the rest of our current ketchup! here.

Here's the link for the Pin on my Pinterest. This isn't the original pin, that one disappeared so I fixed the link for a new pin but it's the same thing!

Marble nails. Freakin AWESOME right? It's sooo simple and pretty quick. I did it a bit different because I didn't use a base coat nor did I use tape around my fingers. I just used a polish remover soaked q-tip and makeup pad to remove it from all around my fingers. Basically all it is, is dripping finger nail polish in room temp water. Next take a sharp point through it to make the design. Than dip your finger in and pull the extra out. Than pull your finger out. You have to be real quick with the process though! There is a YouTube video here.

So while trying to get myself organized I realized I needed a schedule. One that was easy to stick to and worked for both the kids and I. I took an idea of framing something and making it like a dry erase board. So thats what I did with our schedule! I did blank out our names and such. But I think it's pretty cool. It's working so far but it's only been up for a day. It also has a place for extra things and a place to remind me to drink my water and take my pills!

I'm not sure if there is an actual name for it though. It's something else that's simple, cheap and super helpful. It's basically a nail through a clothes pin. And you use it to show you were to hang things. Basically you hand the picture on the head of the nail. Hold it up to the wall where you want it and hammer it a tiny bit. And then you know where you need your nail when you go to hang it up! So stinkin smart!!! I'm  going to be hanging some future pinsperations with this!!!

Pin 4 of 52

So this is pin 4 of 52 pins of Creations From Pinsperations. I did a potty chart for Little Man. Can you tell I'm a Mommy, haha!

Photobucket

It's simple and cheap. It's a bit different from the one on Pinterest, but the concept is the same! I didn't want to spend too much on something that's just going to get thrown away once we master potty training. Little Man loves it, we just started it today, so far we are safe! WE shall see how the rest of our day goes!!!

NaBloPoMo:)

Did you know it's National Blog Posting Month? I didn't either until I was browsing and found NaBloPoMo. So this is going to be my aid in my "Be a better blogger" quest. Haha. I'm not fully expecting to actually blog every day. Ha, I'm a mother and wife. But I will attempt. So I'm going to count this as todays, considering Little Man is up in his room, awake from him nap yelling at me to come get him, haha. Hopefully I can type tomorrow, till then

It's soo easy to put together and Little Man loves it. I just got a huge drip pan from Auto Zone and some magnetic paper from WalMart. Used my trusty ol sharpee and TA-DA!

The Mother and Wife

So I just realized that I had yet to actually introduce myself. Haha. Well I'm Tabbi. I'm currently 21. My kids are my life and my husband is my everything. I have two kids, Little Man, who is currently 2. Then there is Little Lady, who is currently 2.5 months. Yes, I know I'm young but I know what I'm doing, well for the most part, haha. Hubby is in the Navy. So I'm a navy wife. Which I love and hate at any given time.

  •  I have the most AMAZING best friends. Courtney, we've been friends going on 10 years. And Kaitlyn., we've been friends since 9th grade. We've had our times but we always have each others back!
  • I'm the oldest of 6 kids. There is 12 years in between the youngest and I.
  • I'm very random, and I sing all the time. I'm a singer at heart, so I have a bad habit of getting songs in my head. I literally always have a song in my head. You can ask me at any given time what song I have in my head and I'll tell you. Currently it's a song off of Little Man's new favorite movie, The Little Engine that Could(2010). It's really annoying. Haha, sometimes I even get commercial jingle in my head.
  • -I'm a people pleaser. I hate people being upset with me and that makes it really hard for me to say no.
  • I love gum, bubbles and sunglasses (even though I can't for the life of me keep a pair, haha.) And my love of rain totally crosses out my love for glasses. I love both. Rain, ahhh, I'm sooo looking forward to Washington. I love the feel, the sound, the look of rain.
  • -I'm super super paranoid. ALL THE TIME!
  • I'm also a reader. When I was younger, I could have 4 books going at once, but now that I'm a mom, well I'm lucky to have 2.
  • I hate water. I have to force myself to drink it. A lot of people say it doesn't have a taste, but I think it does. And I'm not big on it.
  • I love to write but I'm not very good at it. As you can probably tell by reading this. Oh well, I'll get better as I go.
  • I say just kidding way to much and it's the same way with haha on the computer.
  • I'm slowly building my photography portfolio. I'm not in too big of a rush because I'd rather spend time with my children while they are little. I do love photography though. It's a passion. I also want to get my nursing degree. I want to become a nurse and work in either a Alzheimer home or a labor and deliver department. But I know that will be awhile. Like I said I'm taking things slow.
  • I grew up in a very unorganized home. So that's something I'm really struggling with as my own little family grows.
  • I love being with my children, and they are only young once.
  • I LOVE Italian food. With a passion. If I could, I would eat it for every meal, but than I would weigh like 1000 pounds, haha.
  • I am a Christian. But not your traditional one. I do believe that abortion is murder and that being a homosexual is okay (but I have another post on that one:). I believe cursing is something society made up not God. I'm not one to push my religion on anyone but I love to talk about it.
Well I think that's pretty much me in a nutshell. What you don't know now you will probably learn in the future, haha. Till then

Photographers and such....

So I know I suck at this whole keeping a blog up to date. But hey, I'm working on it. I'm working on my whole life and I've come a long way in the last year and a half. I've come a long way in the last several months. I've (and continue too) bettered myself for my kids, my husband and myself. But this can be the subject of another post. Haha.

The real reason of this post is a bit of a let-go. I don't like ragging on other photographers, I really don't. But when I feel that people are getting ripped off, or should get better than they do. That's when I'll rag. And I'm not going to mention anyone in particular. To me, being a photographer is not all about owning a good camera and some editing software (of course those do have something to do with it, but I'll get to that in a minute.) It's about having skill. Knowing when to shoot, how to shoot, how to edit that picture. I have seen so many photographers over edit the picture. And I will admit, I did it way too much when I started editing. But when you have been doing it for a couple years than you should know how much editing is enough and how much editing is too much.

Now, on to the whole camera and software thing. You don't have to have the top line camera. I mean, mine isn't top line, it's closer to the bottom line, but it has to be good enough. I do think that in order to charge for your sessions and pictures, they should be decent quality. And I have yet to see anything less than a DSLR do that. (Feel free to prove me wrong, though) They shouldn't be gritty or pixilated, nor should they be to dark or to bright. If your photographs aren't thier absolute best, you shouldn't charge for them. That's why I don't yet charge. My skill is definitely getting better. But it's not advanced enough yet to charge.

All in all. For those that are photographers, check your work. I'm sure it's beautiful to you,and possibly to your clients, but get an outside source. Get someone to critique it, and don't be afraid of criticism, it will only build you up.
And for those looking for a photographer. Don't just pick the first one up you find. Look through their portfolio, visit their website, speak with them personally, ask to see prints (because they do look different on and off screen), and read reviews from past clients. You deserve only the best memories frozen in time! Till next time

My thoughts on child abuse and such...

so I'm everyone has heard and is talking about the story about the young mom that went to jail for hitting and blowing marijuana smoke into the baby’s mouth. And it honestly blows my mind. I went to school with her, and if I wouldn't of seen the video myself I probably wouldn't beleive it. It makes me sick and feel sorry at the same time. I can understand making mistakes and I can understand having a bad day...but a child like that doesn't deserve what she got just for crying or anything for that matter. And to be honest, it's situations like this that gives young moms a bad name.

The thought of child abuse makes me sick to my stomach and angers me to the point where I could probably punch someone in face so freaking hard for hurting a child. Now there is a difference between spanking a child and hitting a child. And at that young neither should happen. Of course every parent to each thier own parenting technique. I feel the Wright thing is not what she did. At 10 months you shouldn't even spank a child. There are other ways to discipline at that age. And when disciplining a child there needs to be a reason for it. And crying is not a reason. I can understand being fustrated and having a bad day. But there is nothing wrong (in the Wright opinion)with walking away for a few minutes to calm down and clear your head. It won't bother the child to cry for a moment or too. And on the crying note, there is always a reason a baby is crying. Take that moment away and calm down then try to figure out what is wrong. Nothing is as prescious as a child. Is it really worth thier life over a stressful moment or a bad day. Is it worth jail time? I think not. Just my thoughts...till next time

The recent Wright life.

So I suck at this whole blogging thing. Haha. But I'm determined to get better. So I sat thinking, I want to get back into blogging, but after months (and months and months) of not posting, how do I pick it up again? So I just decided to just jump in and tell about life recently. Well in the last 8 months, we have added an addition, Little Lady (that announcement will be in at future post), we have moved, started potty training Little Man, trying to adjust Little Man to Little Lady. It actually hasn't been bad at all. I'm absolutely adoring being a mommy to two little people. I will admit it's a bit of an adjustment going from trucks to bows, haha, but we are doing great. I'm planning on starting a project here soon so keep an eye out for that post coming soon. Till then

Think about what you say, and leave ME to parent MY kids and such...

So if any of you know my husband you know he is good at ranting. Well I guess it is wearing off on me because I have a short one. And I know this is one I made a while ago but I'm restating it! I'm tired of getting asked countless questions about being a young mom and being married so young and the short amount of time my husband and I knew each other before we got married. Everytime anyone wants to ask me a question I want to make a speech before they ask! "Yes, I'm married. Yes, I'm a mother. Yes, I enjoy it. Yes, I'm only 21. Yes, I know I'm young. Yes, I only knew my husband for 6 months before we got married. Yes, we know what we are doing and we know what we got ourselves into it. Yes, I know having 2 kids shortly after our third anniversary is soon. Yes, we might want more kids, but thats our choice! Yes, I realize I have my hands full but I love every moment of it and I'm never bored. And again yes, we know what we are doing. No, I don't care what you think nor do I really want your opinion because you arn't us and no one knows what we want or need or can handle but us. Not our parents, not our friends, and definetly not you. So if your question is about any of the above, please just walk away!!!" I'm soo tired of people thinking they know you the second they meet you. People really need to stop paying attention to other people and just focus on themselves. Like seriously, is giving me a weird look cause I'm married or have a baby really gonna be worth it too you in an hour? What about a week? A Year? I don't think so....So it's not necessary, worry about you and not me cause you know, me, I'm great. I have an amazing husband, a beautiful son, an all around wonderful life. So your stupid look isn't going to bother me! Till next time

The New Year

I won't be doing many of these (probably none) but I figure this is the best way to sum up our family and our last year!

1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?
I got a tattoo! I drew it myself and I love it! It says Love every moment. I'm sure I'll get a picture of it up sometime. But it means alot to me!

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Ha, no. And the only one I'm going to make this year is to be myself. This year I'll do what I need to do and if I don't do it, well I'll get to and if not then it doesn't really need done in the first place!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, I know several people that did but none really close to me!

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully no!

5. What countries did you visit?
USA, USA, and USA!

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
Patience and calmness!

7. What dates from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

I'm not sure honestly. This was a great year but there wasn't anything really amazing that happened!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Haha, getting my tattoo. It took me soo long to get. I've wanted one for a while but was so scared it would hurt.

9. What was your biggest failure?
I don’t really believe in that word, I don't think you ever fail, I think if you don't succeed you learn. You don't fail.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
When I went to one of my best friends wedding. I took a step of the porch, it was a 2 foot drop, and rolled my ankle. I was sure I broke it, but it was only a bad sprain. I was still on crutches for about a month and randomly used them for about 2 months after that. Between that and morning sickness that is the extent of illness/injury!

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My camera at the beginning of the year and my laptop at the end! I love them both! We also got a minivan in the middle of the year but it's not really worth mentioning...haha

12. Where did most of your money go?
Haha, rent, groceries and diapers...haha...

13. What did you get really excited about?
Getting pregnant. After a miscarriage in January, I wasn't sure if I could go through that again! But we do want another baby. And Little Man is sooo good with babies, he's going to be a great big brother! I'm 12 weeks today!

14. What song will always remind you of 2010?
Haha, cupid shuffle! I learned it at a house party and I loooved it, and it's sooo much fun!

15. Compared to this time last year, are you:
– happier or sadder?
same

– thinner or fatter?
same but that's about to change

– richer or poorer?
well currently same but once Mr. Wright's E-5 pay kicks in it will change.

16. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Blogging, and pictures!

17. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Watching T.V, and not being outside enough!

18. How did you spend Christmas?
With the in-laws in Ohio!

19. What was your favorite TV program?
Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, 16 and Pregnant, Teen Mom, Weeds, oh there's tooo many to choose from!

20. What were your favorite books of the year?
That’s like asking a kid her favorite candy. Pass.

21. What was your favorite music from this year?
Wow, I listen to such a wide variety. Lady A, Carrie Underwood, Reba, Fly Leaf.

22. What were your favorite films of the year?
Hmmm, I really don't remember what I've seen. Tangled is probably my most recent favorite!!

23. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
20 and I honestly don't remember, and no it's not because I was drinking, it's because I have a really bad memory, haha!

24. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Probably having the baby. It was really sad and hard. But here's to our second chance!

25. What kept you sane?
Wow, several, first and foremost my baby! Little Man keeps be grounded. My husband, Mr. Wright, he helps me so much! And the FRG, they are soo amazing with it comes to deployment time!
